Thomas Lynn Shank Industry Thomas Lynn Shank, 70, of Industry, Pa., and formerly of Monaca, Pa., passed away peacefully at his home, January 28, 2018, surrounded by his family. Tom was born February 15, 1947, in Johnstown, Pa., a son of the late Clifford L. Shank and LaVerne Bender. He was a 1964 graduate of New Castle High School. Tom retired in 2010 from First Energy Corporation where he worked as a maintenance mechanic. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church in Aliquippa, Pa. Tom is survived at home by his loving wife of forty nine years, the former Maureen A. O'Loughlin. Also surviving are his two sons, Timothy W. (Amy) Shank of Chippewa, Pa., and Patrick T. (Jamie) Shank of Industry, Pa.; three sisters, Mariann Brice (Mark), Palmyra, Pa.; Linda McGough (Pat), Johnstown, Pa.; and Karen Kelly, Hilton Head, S.C.; three brothers, Ed Markum (Volga), Valdosta, Ga.; Clifford Shank (Joan), Bluffton, S.C.; and Charles Shank (Barb), Salisbury, N.C.; and his two grandchildren, Kamrin and Landon Shank. He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford L Shank; his mother LaVerne Markum; stepmother, Emma Crossen; stepfather, Edward Markum; a son, Thomas Patrick Shank; and two sisters, Barbara Irons and JoAnne Fancella. There are no calling hours planned. A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m.Saturday, February 3, 2018, at St. Teresa of Calcutta Maronite Catholic Mission, 3357 Constitution Blvd., Darlington, PA 16115, with Father Antoine Kairouz as celebrant. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the J. BRADLEY MCGONIGLE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, INC., 111 W. Falls St., New Castle.
