Alleges that Bhusari flouted norms and made 210% addl construction

Indore: A complaint has been lodged with Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) against an under-construction structure at 622, Usha Nagar, alongside Narendra Tiwari Marg, alleging that it is being erected in gross violation of building norms.

Complainant and former corporator Parmanand Sisodiya stated that the building belongs to ex-corporator Rajshree Bhusari, who flouted norms and made 210 per cent additional constructions to what was permitted.

The building was proposed on 4,811 sqf plot. With 1.5 floor area ratio (FAR), the total built up area on the plot should have been maximum 7217 sqf but the landlord got the map approved for merely 3583 sqf built up area (G+3), including 749 sqf area for commercial purpose on the ground floor.

“The landlord was supposed to construct building on 4,811 sqf plot but she illegally divided it into two pieces — one of 2,811 sqf area and another of 2000 sqf,” Sisodiya said.

He alleged that Bhusari constructed building on 2,811 sqf area and illegally ‘saved’ 2000 sqf area.

“If one would go by rule, the permissible built up area (as per 1.5 FAR) should not have been more than 4216 sq ft but she constructed total 13,000 sqf structure, a total of 8784 sq ft more which makes 212 per cent,” Sisodiya claimed.

He further said that Bhusari not only altered map but also erected building on minimum open space (MOS) and open to sky (OTS) space.

Sisodiya alleged that the irregularity took place under the very knowledge of IMC which conveniently turned a blind eye to the illegality.

Chief city planner and building permission in-charge Vishnu Khare said that the under-construction building comes under Zone No 14 and the building officer concerned may be probing the matter.

When contacted, building officer Ashwin Janwade said that building inspector Yogesh Joshi is looking into the complaint. Joshi said that he would carry out inspection at the site and submit his report at the earliest.

Husband of Bhusari, Rajendra Bhusari, claimed that the allegations leveled by Sisodiya are wrong. “We have constructed building by adhering to all norms,” he added.
