Police in the Utah community that hosts the Sundance Film Festival says two complaints to a hotline set up to report sexual misconduct during the event have prompted investigations.

Park City police Capt. Phil Kirk tells the Salt Lake Tribune one complaint was about a sexual assault that happened in the late 1990s. He says the caller reported that the perpetrator had returned to the festival this year.

Kirk says the other complaint involves a situation of possible sexual harassment.

In response to assault allegations during the festival, organizers last month said they had revised its code of conduct and established the 24-hour hotline in partnership with the Utah Attorney General's office.

The state agency says the hotline received 32 calls between Jan. 12 and Sunday, when the festival ended.
