Kate and William follow in Princess Diana's to meet Norway royal family 34 years later
KATE, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William have arrived in Norway where they were greeted by Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marittour for the final leg of their royal Nordic tour.
The royal couple were greeted by their Norwegian counterparts with a kiss on the tarmac as they landed in Gardermoen Air Force Base, just outside snowy Oslo.
William and Kate's private chartered plane landed on the clear runway, but the surrounding area was carpeted in a deep layer of snow that had fallen overnight.
The radiant duchess' hairdresser Amanda Cook Tucker and stylist Natasha Archer were not far behind Kate as they stepped out into the snow with their hands full.
The trip comes 34 years after Prince William’s mother, Princess Diana, completed her first two-day solo visit to Norway to meet King Harald V and Queen Sonja in 1984.
