(MENAFN - Gulf Times) HEC Paris has said it will be running an Executive Short Programme designed to give professionals a 'distinct advantage in the increasingly competitive digital age.
The two-day programme, titled ‘Marketing Through Social Media', will be led by HEC Paris associate professor of Marketing, Kristine de Valck, on the HEC Paris Doha campus, Tornado Tower, on February 11 and 12. The programme will show participants that social media channels are more than just communication tools and how they can be strategically leveraged to successfully market a business.
Prof De Valck, whose research and teaching over the past 15 years has focused on how the Internet has changed consumer behaviour and the marketplace, said: 'We are in the midst of a marketing paradigm due to the digital revolution. The four Ps of marketing Price, Product, Promotion and Place have evolved because of the rise of constantly connected consumers.
'The ‘Marketing Through Social Media' executive short programme will show participants the role that the Internet and social media now play in a consumer's purchase decision process. It will also cover how social media can be leveraged to help build brand awareness using content marketing, and how it is considered a crucial customer service and support tool. We will further educate participants on how they can engage with influencers for targeted marketing purposes. This programme is designed to give participants an edge in an increasingly competitive market, added Prof De Valck.
By enrolling in the ‘Marketing Through Social Media' Executive Short Programme, participants will enhance their understanding of the difference between traditional, digital and social media marketing.
They will also gain up-to-date insights on the expanding social media landscape, learn the key concepts of social media marketing and discover ways in which social media can be leveraged.
