On Thursday morning Pakistan again violated ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district. As a precautionary measure, the district administration ordered the shutdown of 71 schools in the border areas.
the incident happened on morning around 8.50am. Pakistan army opened unprovoked fire targeting forward Indian posts in Kampla, Pukherni, Lam, Anwas, Bhandar, Rattal, Basali and PB areas of Nowshera sector, to which Indian troops retaliated.
No casualties, injury or damage was reported in the fire exchange, sources said.
Rajouri district collector, Shahid Choudhary wrote on Twitter, '71 schools closed in wake of heavy shelling in Lam area of Nowshera. Our teams are camping in forward villages to assist affected families.'
