The Office of the President on Thursday announced the appointment of Alfredo Tjiurimo Hengari as Press Secretary and Spokesperson of the Presidency.
He will assume his duties shortly.
Hengari will take over the role from Albertus Aochamub who has been appointed as acting chief executive officer of the Namibia Airports Company (NAC).
Hengari is a political scientist and used to be a weekly political columnist for The Namibian newspaper.
