How to make beef picadillo tacos
Ingredients
- 1 pound of ground beef
- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
- Half of an onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
Preparation
- Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, breaking up with spoon and cook until lightly browned.
- Add onion, garlic and tomatoes. Stir to combine and cook until beef is no longer pink and vegetables have softened.
- Reduce heat, season with salt, pepper and cumin. Serve warm with crispy taco shells and toppings of choice.
