Enquirer continues Greatest Of All Time series by asking, 'Who is the top Lakeview wrestler ever?' as we are at No. 5 and No. 6 on the list
The countdown continues as the Battle Creek Enquirer ranks the top 10 high school wrestlers ever at Lakeview.
We will be revealing wrestlers on the list all week until we reach No. 1 - the G.O.A.T. - the Greatest Of All Time for Lakeview wrestling. So return often to see the list grow.
Reminder, that once we complete the top 10 list, it will then be up to the Battle Creek area to vote for their No. 1 wrestler and to find out if they agree with us.
Voting for the Lakeview G.O.A.T. - greatest wrestler of all-time - starts Friday at www.battlecreekenquirer.com.
Then, each week, we will continue with other wrestling programs in the city until we have looked at the top wrestlers from each of those schools.

The Top 10 All-Time Wrestlers at Lakeview:
No. 6: Terry Faulk – Class of 1964
Part of an earlier era, Faulk was a member of Lakeview’s team during the school’s very first year as a wrestling program. Faulk was part of the reason Lakeview was able to hit the ground running and become a power in the sport early on as he was an early qualifier for the state meet. But it was his efforts after high school that this almost forgotten Spartan star makes our list. Faulk went on to wrestle at Miami (Ohio) University where he helped his team to a Mid-American Conference championship. Faulk was a two-time individual MAC champ at 191 pounds and also finished third in the league earlier in his career at 177 pounds. He also qualified for NCAA Championships twice and finished his career at the school as the all-time leader in wins and pins.
No. 5: James Christie – Class of 2001
After years of coming close, Christie broke through as Lakeview’s first state champ in wrestling. Christie took the state crown in 2001 at 152 pounds, beating Jeff Steavens of Mason at the Division 2 state meet. Christie went 49-3 as a senior to cap off a high school career where he was a three-time All-City champ and two-time conference champ. Christie went on to win a AAU National Championship in 2001. Following his high school career, Christie became a marine and fought in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
