Later that day, Clovis police officers found the child dead in a trash bin. They found Hamilton and got her to a hospital for treatment, and booked her in jail on charges of involuntary manslaughter and child endangerment.
The Clovis Police Dept is aware of the release of Angelena Hamilton. We anticipate charges will be filed in the future pending the results of the autopsy & the completion of potential witness statements. However, there is not a set date for the completion of this investigation.

The jail released her Saturday morning because Clovis police never submitted a case for the district attorney to file charges.
Clovis Police say they're still waiting for autopsy results and they're conducting interviews to wrap up the case, which they say, could take a while.
