Tired of the world wanting to eat him, the red M&M makes a wish: to be human.
ST. PAUL — Tom Brady’s pop culture knowledge is woeful, although the New England Patriots quarterback told reporters at Super Bowl Opening Night he loves Adam Sandler, tequila and named four man crushes.
Dozens of sports media members formed a semicircle around the five-time Super Bowl champion at Xcel Energy Center on Monday night to ask a few tough questions — including about his relationship with a Boston sports talk station — along with the usual oddball queries.
"Who is my man crush?” Brady said, with a smile. “Man. I'd say Jules (Julian Edelman), Danny (Amendola) and Gronk (Rob Gronkowski). Those guys are pretty good looking guys. None of them are married, either. Can you imagine that? Justin Timberlake. I love Justin a lot, too."
Timberlake is the headliner for the Super Bowl halftime show Sunday.
Brady said he loves Sandler “even if he's a Jets fan.”
Among the other questions:
—On if he has a future in the XFL if his NFL career doesn’t work out: “If what doesn't work out? I think things have worked out pretty good.”
—On one questioner’s workout regimen working: “Don’t (expletive) me.”
—On the most inspiring woman in his life: “I would say my mom and my wife. They are both amazing in their own way. My wife loves my mom, too. My mom can do no wrong in my wife’s eyes and my wife can usually do no wrong in my eyes.”
He was stumped a few times, including on who was hosting the Oscars (Jimmy Kimmel) and the name of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's baby born earlier this month (Chicago).
