An Entrepreneurship Student Training meet began at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University for teachers and managers of Erasmus Plus SILICE delegates from January 22 and would continue till January 25.
As many as 40 delegates from Israel, Germany, Portugal, Scotland and Croatia took part in the meet, which aimed to develop social innovation and social entrepreneurship in Israeli and Indian local communities.
The SILICE is an international capacity building project with 14 universities and institutions from six different countries, which will continue for minimum three years.
The training will help the delegates in the ideation stage and move onto the next level by providing mentorship and equipping them with the necessary skill sets. Founder of KIIT and KISS Dr Achutya Samanta addressed the delegation and inspired them with excerpts from his individual entrepreneurial journey.
In the four-day meet, apart from the extensive theoretical sessions that were conducted, the delegates were also taken on site visits to social enterprises nearby to get a real time exposure to social enterprises.
