REMAINS ALL OVER THE CITY?: Bruce McArthur now charged with five murders

The investigation into Bruce McArthur has led to more first-degree murder charges.

Bruce McArthur is now officially an accused serial killer.

On Monday, Toronto Police charged McArthur with three more killings, in addition to the two murder charges from Jan. 18. And they say they believe there are more victims and are going through dozens of missing persons reports in the city.

McArthur, 66, is now charged with also killing Majeed Kayhan, Soroush Marmudi and Dean Lisowick. Police believe he acted alone but are open to looking at the possibility of an accomplice.

McArthur was arrested Jan. 18 and charged with the first-degree murders of Selim Esen, 44, who disappeared from the Yonge-Bloor Sts. area on April 14, 2017, and Andrew Kinsman, 49, who vanished from Cabbagetown on June 26, 2017.

The men’s bodies were not found before the charges were laid, and police were scouring properties associated with McArthur as part of the investigation.

Police say they found the dismembered skeletal remains of three victims in the backyard of 53 Mallory Cres. in Leaside, where McArthur stored his landscaping business equipment. The victims have not been identified. The remains were hidden in the bottom of three large planters.

Police are searching 30 properties connected to the accused and want anyone who hired McArthur as a landscaper to contact them.

Kayhan was reported missing in October 2012. Marmudi was reported missing in Scarborough by family in 2015. And Lisowick was not reported missing, but they believe the man, who lived in the city’s shelter system, was killed between May 2016 and July 2017.
