Boys' track
MSTCA Coaches Invitational: St. John's Tyler Griffin won the 1,000 (2:32.78), while teammate Joshua Rahn was third in the 2 mile (9:30.34) and Patrick Craemer was 11th in the mile (4:28.35) to lead the Pioneers at the Reggie Lewis Center.
Wachusett's Mani Peri-Okonny was third in the 300 (35.57), third in the high jump (6-3) and fourth in the long jump (21-5½).
Shrewsbury's Joseph O'Brien was sixth (36.17) in the 300, while teammate Joseph Young took eighth (36.45) and Shepherd Hill's Lucas Roberts claimed ninth (36.45).
Fitchburg's Elizia Ashmore was fifth in the 55 (6.64) and O'Brien was seventh (6.68). The Red Raiders also claimed the 800 relay (1:31.05), while Worcester Tech finished ninth (1:35.26).
Leominster's Jonathan Polanco was third in the 600 (1:23.31), while Fitchburg's Angel Figueroa was fifth (1:24.04).
Girls' track
MSTCA Coaches Invitational: Wachusett's Victoria Steffon was third in the 55 (7.24) and fifth in the 300 (40.89), while teammate Sarah James was third in the high jump (5-4) and 11th in the long jump (16-10) to lead the Mountaineers at the Reggie Lewis Center.
Wachusett's 800 relay team finished second (1:46.06) and the Mountaineers' 3,200 relay team took fifth (9:59.85) and Jamie Falla was seventh in the mile (5:18.20) and Wachusett's Julia Danko was ninth (11:52.10) in the 2 mile.
Shepherd Hill's 1,600 relay team won in 4:03.77, while the Rams' Gabrielle Lawrence was third in the 2 mile (11:34.42) and Madison Marsh took seventh (41.88) in the 300.
Algonquin's Tess Reyes was third in the 1,000 (3:03.99), while Shepherd Hill's Rebekah James (sixth, 3:05.40) and Emma Sullivan (seventh, 3:06.04) also finished strong.
Fitchburg's Hannah Neilon was second in the 600 (1:37.48) and Shrewsbury's Raegan Gillolly was seventh (1:40.65) and Wachusett's Brianna Steele was eighth (1:40.78).
Boys' basketball
Quaboag 52, Douglas 32: Zac McCann had 16 points, while Alex Richard scored 14 and Hayden Perry chipped in 11 to send the visiting Cougars (3-11) over the Tigers (0-14). Matt Landry's 10 points led Douglas.
Nipmuc 80, Littleton 52: Kyle Downing scored 24 points, while Andrew Griswold added 12 points as 12 players tallied for the visiting Warriors (8-5). Junior Austin Lynn scored a career-high 18 points for Littleton and Mitch Crory added 12 points.
Northfield Mt. Hermon 97, Worcester Academy 64: Former Lunenburg High star Calvin Whipple scored a game-high 21 points to lift the host Hoggers (17-3) over the Hilltoppers (7-10). Mitchell Doherty scored 18 to lead Worcester Academy, while teammate Quest Harris scored 11.
