DUBAI: A maid inclined to photographing and sharing a baby girl’s explicit photos was, on Jan.28, ordered to spend three years behind bars.

The Asian maid, 31, breached the modesty of the 3-year-old Iraqi girl, stored explicit content in her mobile phone and misused information technology services to disseminate the content.

She habitually took offensive photos and videos and shared them with her husband, sister and ex-husband until Nov.1.2017. She will be deported upon completion of the jail term.

The baby’s mother was asking the maid about an important matter when she noticed the maid was preoccupied with a mobile phone.

“I demanded to have it and waited for my husband.

“I and my husband landed on her explicit photos and videos along with offensive photos on my daughter. She told me she was sharing her photos and videos with her husband.

“I told her several items were sent to more than one person. She then told me she sent her photos and videos to her ex-husband, cousin and friend,” said the mother –an Iraqi employee, 40.

She asked the maid about the girl’s explicit photos.
