College track and field: International Falls' Shofner leads Saints
St. Scholastic's Breanna Shofner won the 400-meter dash to lead St. Scholastica at the Warren Bowlus Open on Saturday at the Wisconsin-Stout Sports and Fitness Center in Menomonie, Wis.
Shofner, a senior from International Falls, finished in 1 minute, 2.03 seconds, to post wins in three different indoor events this season. Teammate Anika Kling was third in the 400 and sixth in the long jump.
Senior Patrick Murphy led the St. Scholastica men with a seventh in the triple jump.
