Econmic Survey 2017-18 evokes Bollywood’s Iconic dialogue “Tarikh-par-Tarikh”

Bollywood most ever iconic dialogue ‘Tarikh-par-tarikh’ find the way in the Economic Survey 2017-18 to highlight the frequent delays in the judicial process. The survey, tabled in Parliament today, called for coordinated action between government and the judiciary to address the delays and boost economic activity. the Economic Survey was printed in pink colour as it waded into problem of gender bias prevalent in India and underscored the importance of gender issues to the economy. The survey reports author, Chief Economic Advisor Arvind Subramanian said “the documents cover was deliberately kept in pink colour to show the governments support to the movement in favour of women and womens empowerment”. This famous dialogue appeared in Bollywood blockbuster film ‘Damini’. This iconic dialogue was used by Actor ‘Sunny Deol’ in the movie. The Economic Survey for 2017-18 was tabled by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in Parliament on Monday 29. He is scheduled to present the last full budget of the current Narendra Modi-led NDA government on February 1.
