Winter weather advisory for Lake, Geauga and Cuyahoga counties

Lake, Geauga and Cuyahoga counties will be under a winter weather advisory from 1 p.m. Jan. 29 through 10 a.m. Jan. 30, according to the National Weather Service.

Snow is expected, with total accumulations of 2 to 4 inches, and isolated totals up to 5 inches, according to NWS.

The heaviest snow will occur from 3 p.m. to midnight, which will affect the Monday evening commute, according to NWS.

Drivers should plan on slippery road conditions during Monday evening’s commute and possibly during Tuesday morning’s commute, when heavy snow may occur again, mainly across Cuyahoga County, according to NWS.

Motorists should be prepared for reduced visibilities at times.
