Letters: Litter, dog dirt, crime, NHS in crisis - So why are people queuing to come to Britain?

WHY is it that when a country like ours with litter knee deep, dog dirt every other step, fly tipping, rising violent crime, an almost ineffective police force, potholes in most roads, extortionate utility bills, an NHS in crisis, a lack of social care, homelessness rising, austerity and an uncaring Tory government, why is it that we have people queueing in Dover to come here?

Surely life in France is much more civilised?
