NEW SMYRNA BEACH – The Fraternal Order of Eagles New Smyrna-Edgewater Ladies Auxiliary recently donated $6,000 to support the Parkinson’s programs at the Florida Hospital New Smyrna Health Park.
“We are extremely grateful for this generous donation,” said Marlene Thomas, Florida Hospital New Smyrna Health Park administrator. “This funding provides us the opportunity to purchase a testing and training tool for our outpatient rehabilitation services. It will offer the broadest range of treatment options for our patients that struggle with conditions that effect their balance and limit agility, such as those with Parkinson’s disease.”
To date, the Fraternal Order of Eagles New Smyrna-Edgewater Ladies Auxiliary has donated $11,500 to support the Parkinson’s programs at the Florida Hospital New Smyrna Health Park.
The Florida Hospital New Smyrna Health Park is located at the southeast intersection of Interstate 95 and State Road 44 at 125 Florida Memorial Parkway. Opened in September 2014, the 31,200-square-foot outpatient center offers imaging, lab, and rehabilitation services and is home to several physician offices, including both specialists and primary-care physicians.
