Claiming to have a huge following in Britain, The Donald pledged to strike up a great trade deal with the nation once it leaves the EU.
But keen eyed viewers were distracted by a very unusual drinking vessel in the background.

While the billionaire businessman debated with Piers, a glass of water with a cover on it was shown.
Conspiracy theories ran wild following the shot, suggesting that Trump feared he was being poisoned.
"He's covered the top of his water glass with the paper coaster thing. That is proper paranoid. Does he think Piers is going to lace his drink?," said one viewer.

Trump has previously admitted in previous speeches that he is a germaphobe.
But viewers still questioned his "odd" behaviour in covering a glass with a paper coaster.

Since the interview aired, Morgan has been criticised for not being firm enough when questioning Trump.
