City-based marine food exporter Devi Fisheries Limited stood first in marine export value and frozen shrimp exports at the national level and bagged awards from the Marine Products Exports Development Authority (MPEDA). Managing Director of the firm Yarlagadda Surya Rao received the awards from Union Commerce Minister Suresh Prabhu and Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parikkar, at a programme organised in Goa on Saturday.
Speaking to the media here on Sunday, Mr. Surya Rao said the awards were for the best performing marine food exporters for the fiscal 2016-17. “The award presentation function was held on the sidelines of the ongoing India International Sea Foods Fair in Goa,” he said.
