Centering the court verdict against its Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, BNP has started political and diplomatic activities including holding dialogue with foreign envoys stationed in Dhaka.
Although BNP's presence is negligible in the field but it is passing through busy times centering the impending court verdict against the party chief scheduled to be delivered on February 8.
The party plans to stage a mammoth gathering of more than a lakh people in the capital on the day, BNP insiders said.

high ups at home and abroad, all its political wings have been asked to make the demonstration a success. In this regard, BNP standing committee sat on Saturday and issued letters to the presidents and secretaries of all its front and associate organisations to sit with the local leaders and followers for vigorous campaign.
To attract the international community, it also started a campaign across the globe with the help of its foreign wings and contacted with the local diplomats on the "wrong doing" with the party's Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
The party wants to put pressure diplomatically and following this it has already started diplomatic activities. The party is expected to hold a meeting with diplomats of 100 countries and the chiefs of 20 foreign organisations and institutions stationed in Dhaka.
The meeting scheduled is to be held at the BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's political office at Gulshan on Tuesday. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will brief the diplomats about the current government's repressive regime and injudicious verdict against Khaleda Zia, BNP sources said.
"People will not accept any imprudent verdict against BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia. If any unjust verdict is delivered against Khaleda Zia, we will start movement to oust the government from the day," said BNP Standing Committee member Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain on Sunday.
Following the verdict, after the meeting with policy makers, Khaleda Zia on Sunday sat with the top leaders of her party led 20-party alliance. She is likely to sit with her policy makers again on Thursday.
The BNP chairperson will also hold a meeting with party Executive Committee members on February 3 to brief next course of action to face the verdict and to meet the party's demand for holding an inclusive election.
She is also holding meeting with professionals, well-wishers and lawyers to identify next course of the party action in this regard, BNP insiders said.
Besides, the BNP secretary general is sitting with the possible BNP candidates for the upcoming national election, the presidents and secretaries of the nearby district units and front and associate bodies of the party and is giving necessary directions for the day.
BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury said, "Government is trying to hold another one-sided national election by excluding BNP. But, people will not allow them to implement their dream this time."
We will take all necessary steps to resist the government's ill motive, he added.
