Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath declared that his government will generate over 20 lakh jobs in next three years through One District One Project (ODOP) scheme where the youth will get employment at their door steps.
Addressing the concluding session of the MSME Industrial Sammelan organized here on Sunday he said that ODOP is the unique scheme under which each district have something or the other to showcase to the world but the best part is the many districts in UP have more than one product to market.
“Our initiative is only to bring those products to limelight so that world could know about them. If we succeed in doing so we will not only create jobs for the youth at their door steps but will also generate employment at the ancillary units,” he said.
Yogi also declared that in next three years the government will give employment to over 20 lakh people under the ODOP. This is over and above employment government is likely to generate in the government sector. “When BJP came to power it gave a commitment to youth that it will give them job. Through this ODOP scheme we are fulfilling our commitment,” he said.
“The MSME sector has been job creating sector and the ODOP has been just an extension of this scheme. We know about the artisans who are master in producing world class products. But till these years they have not got the government support. The Government has linked these ODOP with skill development schemes and the start up scheme announced by the Modi Government,” Chief Minister said.
Elaborating on the government initiatives to promote private investments in different sector Yogi said that his government has launched many policies like Industrial policy which is just one point solution to all the problems industrialists are facing. The system has been made transparent and time bound. Industrialists can lodge complaints from his office or ask for any assistance and it will be delivered digitally, he said.
“Human interface has been reduced by promoting e-governance. Even the government has introduced e-tendering system to end corruption. The system has been streamlined whose results will be seen shortly,” Yogi said.
He also invited entrepreneurs to invest in UP in a big way. Government is organizing investors’ meet on February 21 and 22 where captains of Indian Industry will take part. “Join us to make UP strong and industrially viable,” he said.
The Sammelan was inaugurated by Rural Development Minister Mahendra Singh.
