ITV announced that Dancing On Ice professional Ale suffered an incredibly nasty fall during rehearsals with her celebrity partner and rugby ace Max yesterday. 

The show confirmed that Ale was taken to hospital, but thankfully she was already back at home recovering by the evening.

While she was told she would require 24 hours of rest after the painful injury, fans have been wondering what it would mean for Max’s all important third performance on the series tonight. 

It has now been revealed that the professional is already feeling much better today, and will still be performing her choreographed routine alongside Max on the live show, according to Digital Spy.

Contestant Max, 34, has also shared that despite being told to put her feet up, Ale has joined in with another practice on the ice today.

Via his official Twitter account, Max explained: “I’m very happy to say @ALEIZK & I have had a little skate and we are ready for a full dress rehearsal!

"Fingers crossed all goes well and we'll be ready to put in a good performance tonight! 

“Thank you for all your messages of support, means so much."

Pictures from the scene showed the Mexican skater suddenly facing a dramatic tumble onto the ice as the pair attempted a complex spin, before landing on her back. 

Having slipped through Max’s arms, Ale also ended up smacking her head against the unforgiving floor.

While a paramedic was swiftly on-hand to assist the figure-skating champion, it seemed that Ale was struggling to get back up. 

Clearly devastated, Max held his face in his hands as he awaited the petite brunette’s fate. 

Meanwhile, Love Island star Kem Cetinay was also nursing an injury on his inner thigh this week, albeit less serious. 

Pictures showed the 21-year-old enjoying a romantic routine with his partner Alex Murphy and sporting a broad grin on Friday, as the pair whipped across the ice. 

Yet it seemed that the reality star had simply been putting on a brave face, as he was later spotted gingerly re-wrapping his bandage having stripped down to his boxers.

Fans will have to wait and see if this week’s unfortunate traumas end up affecting the contestants' performances tonight.
