How many bologna sandwiches can one eat in 5 minutes?

For Stephen "Barracuda" Hillegass, the answer was 7 1/2 on Saturday to claim the top prize at the bologna eating contest at the Lebanon Bologna Fest presented by the Lebanon Rotary Club.

The bologna eating contest was just one of the highlights of the event that ran from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lebanon County Expo Center and Fairgrounds.

A cornhole contest and a beer and wine tasting were also on the agenda.

There were plenty of games and items to keep kids entertained, including inflatables, a face-painting booth, a duck pond and an interesting game called The Sidewinder.

There was plenty to eat, and local bologna companies were represented, and there was also plenty of bologna to take home for future meals, or perhaps bologna-eating contest practice.

Seven people participated in the eating contest won by Hillegass. Second place went to Derrick Weierbach, with 7, and third went to Garry "Jambalaya" Jurina, who finished third with 6. All three are from Lebanon.
