The Holmes County Republican Central Committee met Thursday evening and endorsed the DeWine/Husted ticket for governor on the May spring primary ballot.
The committee also appointed Randy Sponseller to fill the vacancy in the Knox Township precinct committeeman seat vacated by Andrew Hyde when Hyde was elected county court judge.
In other business, the committee received reports from the officers and discussed the Republican Lincoln Day Dinner set for Monday, Feb. 12 at 6 p.m. at the Carlisle Village Inn in Walnut Creek, where the speaker will be Lt. Gov. candidate Jon Husted.
