CCTV images have been released as concerns grow for the welfare of a missing man.

The last reliable sighting of Darlington man Kevin Hauxwell captured him walking along Skinnergate in the town centre at 9.30pm on Saturday, January 27.

MISSING: Kevin Hauxwell captured on CCTV

Durham Constabulary has issued an appeal in a bid to locate the 50-year-old, with a spokesman for the force his loved ones were becoming increasingly worried about him.

He said: “We hope that the CCTV footage of Kevin may job somebody’s memory and assist us with our ongoing enquiry.

“We are extremely concerned for Kevin’s welfare and wea re interested to hear from anyone who saw Kevin yesterday evening.”

An earlier police appeal said: “Kevin is known to socialise in Darlington town centre but his whereabouts are currently unknown.

“He has a Facebook account and numerous friends in the town and it is hoped that this appeal will be shared and will secure the safe return of Kevin to those who are worried about him.”

Mr Hauxwell, who has very short and shaved light grey hair, is 5ft 10ins tall and of medium build.

At the time he went missing he is believed to have been wearing jeans, a navy blue coat with brass buttons and ox leather orange shoes.
