E. Helena (Jones) Armsey Baden Helena Armsey, 94, of Baden, went home to the Lord and her family on January 26, 2018, at home. Helena married her loving husband Bill on July 2, 1947. He left her to return to the Lord on January 24, 2008. She was the daughter of the late Jack and Kathryn Jones. Also preceding her in death was her sister, Dorothy Jean Emery; brother, William R. Jones; a very special aunt, Mary Jones; uncle, Andy Tennant; a daughter-in-law, Dana Armsey, and nephew, Ken Jones. She was born in Monongahela, Pa., on July 25, 1923. Helena spent her life in Baden after a short time in Ambridge. A graduate of Ambridge High School class of '41, she attended Garfield Business School. The social and active lady was employed by the United States Government (draft board) during World War II. After having a family, her outside job became volunteering to help veterans. She was a past-president of Baden American Legion Auxiliary; member of Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church, Baden, and their Christian Mothers as well as the Eagles Auxiliary in Ambridge. She was nicknamed "the socialite" as her and a very special group of lady friends spent Wednesdays together for over 50 years. Helena is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Kay and Terry Burgess, who resided with her since 2011, and a son, William Armsey. She was the fun loving grandmother to Patricia Burgess, Chester, W.Va.; Judith Hayes, Saline, Michigan, and Case Armsey, Sterling Heights, Mich. She has been fortunate to know three great-grandsons, Sebastian Armsey, John and Jack Hayes, and two great-granddaughters, Stasia and Ezrah Armsey. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews and their families. Friends will be received Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. in the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, where a service will be held Monday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Baden. Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park. The Baden American Legion Auxiliary will conduct a service Sunday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
