When asked how much sleep the SAS trainees really get, Ant laughed: “They don’t get any!
“We try and keep them on their toes - they might be up three nights in a row.
“When they sleep for five or six hours, they don’t really because they always think they’re going to get woken up at any time because we’ve previously woken them up.”
Speaking about the latest instalment, which will see the candidates face a brutal interrogation, Ant confessed that it is a lot more harsh in real life.

Britannia was predominately filmed in the Czech Republic and Wales. The locations in South Wales were; Nash Point and Rhossili Bay on the Gower Peninsula
Unveiling his own experiences, Ant revealed: “It’s just not nice you know. You’re out in the highlands of Scotland or whatever and you’re malnourished - you haven’t eaten for days and you’ve been covering 20 or 30 miles a night and you’re beaten down before you get ‘caught’.
“You’re hallucinating already, you’re not thinking straight, and you’re in a bad place before you even start and that’s how they get to your mind.
“They chip away at your head,” he explained.
