Area candidates named CPAs

TOPEKA — The Kansas Board of Accountancy announced 32 candidates successfully passed the computerized examination in the October/November/December exam window.

As of Jan. 19, 12,615 individuals have been issued CPA certificates, of which 3,926 hold active permits to practice.

Passage of the national examination is the first step to becoming a certified public accountant. To be eligible to receive a permit to practice, an experience requirement must first be met.
