Reader's View: Perhaps President Trump is the 'dreamer'

Native Americans were once not recognized as American citizens. President Calvin Coolidge and Congress granted citizenship to all Native Americans born in the U.S. on June 2, 1924. That's according to the National Archives' general records of the U.S. government. So this is not fake news.

Here's something to think about: If President Donald Trump had been in office in 1924, would he and his Republican Party have granted citizenship to Native American? Or would they have signed into law an order to deport all illegal Native American who didn't have legal citizenship papers?

Trump claims to be a "genius." Would he pick a country for Native Americans with wild rice, no oil spills, and no broken treaties? Would he then make this country great again? Is President Trump the "dreamer?" That's something else to think about.
