The Indian Premier League mega auction for the season 2018 is on at Bengalure and it will be fascinating to see how each of the teams finally shape up. Here is what Royal Challengers Bangalore are up to

DAY 2

Royal Challengers Bangalore get into the act and they buy Parthiv Patel for 1.7 Cr after getting into an intense bidding war with Mumbai Indians.

The Challengers get New Zealand fast bowler Tim Southee for his base price of Rs 1 crore.

Murugan Ashwin who last played with Ravichandran Ashwin in Rising Pune Supergiant, is now sold to Royal Challengers Bangalore for a 2.2 Cr. The leg-break bowler, finished the 2015-16 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy as Tamil Nadu's second-highest wicket-taker with 10 wickets, and a month later was rewarded with a contract with Rising Pune Supergiants for INR 4.5 crores and now he is 2.2 Cr richer.

Wasington Sundar becomes a millionaire once again in the league as he is bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for 3.2 Cr. The last time he played in the IPL, he turned out for Rising Pune Supergiant. Meanwhile, RCB also played the Right to Match card for Pawan Negi after he was bought for 1 Cr by Mumbai Indians. RCB are on fire today.

Mandeep Sigh goes back to the team where he has played most of his Indian Premier Legue game - Royal Challengers Bangalore. RCB shell out 1.4 Cr for their batsman.

Royal Challengers Bangalore are stocking up in the bowling department well as they shell 2.6 Cr nd 2.2 Cr respectively for Mohammed Siraj and Nathan Coulter Nile respectively.

DAY 1

Royal Challengers Banglaore opened their account in the auction as they acquired the services of Kiwi legend and one of the most destructive batsman in the world - Brendon McCullum. The right-hander last played for Gujarat Lions in the league and was sold for Rs 3.6 Cr.

One of the best all-rounders in the game — Chris Woakes also made his way to Royal Challengers Bangalore for 7.4 Cr. Woakes' base price was two crore and he has been sold for much more than that. RCB were dead set on winning his signature and they beat the challenge of CSK.

Royal Challengers Bangalore got their hands on another star all-rounder as they acquired the services Moeen Ali. The star English all-rounder is a maverick cricketer and he will do well under the leadership of Virat Kohli.

Kiwi all-rounder Colin de Grandhomme also founder a buyer in Banglore, going there for 2.2 Cr.

Quinton de Kock also went to Royal Challengers Bangalore for 2.8 Crores. Delhi Daredevils had the option to use the RTM card for him but they chose no to do so. Good buy for RCB as de Kock is one of the most explosive wicket-keeper batsman out there.

Punjab opener Manan Vohra, who was in sublime touch in the recently concluded domestic T20 event, got a Rs 1.1 crore deal from Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Delhi left-arm pacer Kulwant Khejroliya, who was a waiter in Goa not long ago, was picked up by RCB for Rs 85 lakh.

RCB chose to use the RTM card to pick up Yuzvendra Chahal for Rs 6 Crore. Yuzvendra Chahal is also the first leg-spinner to pick up a fifer as well as 6 wicket haul in a T20I and has the record for the best bowling as a legspinner in T20I history (6/25).

India pacer Umesh Yadav was also bought by Bangalore for Rs 4.2 Cr. Kolkata Knight Riders had the option to use the RTM card but they chose not to. Umesh will now play under Virat Kohli. Manan Vohra also headed to Bangalore for 1.1 Cr.

Navdeep Saini was also picked up by Bangalore for a handsome sum of 3 Cr. Saini was called up by the Indian team as net bowler in their ongoing series in South Africa and this shows how highly rated he is in the set-up.
