Liverpool fans demanded the signing of Virgil van Dijk for months, but now they finally have their man, things haven't gone to plan for the £75million defender.

Van Dijk struggled as the Reds were knocked out of the FA Cup in the fourth round clash against West Brom – with the Baggies scoring three against the tame defence.

Fans have already vented their frustrations at Van Dijk, with many expecting the towering centre back to solve their defensive issues this season.

The Dutchman cost a world-record fee for a defender after signing from Southampton earlier in January.
