Chelsea will face-off against Newcastle United this afternoon.

The fourth round FA Cup game will be held at Chelsea’s home ground, Stamford Bridge.

However the hotly-anticipated match will see Chelsea without several first-team players, including keeper Thibaut Courtois.

Injuries will see Alvaro Morata and Willian forced to sit out the game.

The Blues have had a bumpy start to the year, with their only win in 90 minutes coming in a Premier League match against Brighton.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United’s form has improved since the turn of the year.

The side has suffered only one defeat in their last four games across all competitions.

Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez: "Every game is important, but obviously we know how massive it is to stay in the Premier League, because of all the money around and then you can improve your team if you have more money.

“It's a win-win situation if you stay in the Premier League, so that is something we have to consider.

“But at the same time, if we can use the squad, we will try to do our best.

“We will use some players that were maybe not playing, and obviously some that were.

“I need to find this balance between players with match fitness and players who are not playing too much."

Chelsea have progressed past Newcastle in five of their last six FA Cup ties, with the Blues winning 1-0 in their most recent FA Cup encounter back in 2006.

Coverage of this afternoon’s FA Cup match between Chelsea and Newcastle United will be shown live on BT Sport 2 (Sky 414, Sky HD 433, BT TV 409, Virgin Media 532), with the pre-match build-up starting at 1pm and kick-off at 1.30pm.
