Ellen J. Conley

There will be no visitation or service. Arrangements are under the direction of Becker-Hunt Funeral Home.

Ellen was born on Nov. 4, 1939, the daughter of Ronald and Margery (Shepardson) Roby, in Ewing, Neb. She was raised on farms in Nebraska and Iowa.

Ellen married James Conley on Oct. 5, 1959. She was a mother to Penny, Johnny and Paul. She resided in her home for more than 50 years. She had a day care and helped raise many children through it.

Ellen enjoyed her yard and received yard of the month numerous times. She also loved birds and her dogs.

Ellen is survived by her daughter, Penny Donner of South Sioux City; her son, Paul and his wife, Rachel Conley of Sioux City; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Janice; numerous nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law; and three brothers-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James; an infant son, Johnny; her parents; sisters, Shirley Colley and Betty Housh; and brother, Larry Roby.
