Australia have lost their way in their chase of 260, a competitive target set by England. Earlier, England were bowled out for 259 runs in 47.4 overs in the fifth and final One-Day International (ODI) against Australia at the new Perth Stadium today. Joe Root top-scored with 62 while there were important contributions from openers Jason Roy (49) and Jonny Bairstow (44). Despite getting a good start, the visitors were not able to bat out the entire 50 overs. Medium pacer Andrew Tye was the pick of the Australian bowlers taking career-best figures of 5/46 while Mitchell Marsh scalped two. England are currently leading the series 3-1. The Steve Smith-led Australian cricket team registered a consolatory win at the Adelaide Oval in the fourth match and will look to finish the series on a high.
