(MENAFN) Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. has announced it has received a USD500 million order to set up a natural gas liquefaction facility in Canada.
The company will carry out a front-end engineering design for the hull of the At-Shore LNG and build the LNG liquefaction facility for Steelhead LNG Corp.,
According to a company spokesman, the ASLNG facility will transform natural gas sent through underground pipelines into 6 million tons of liquefied forms of gas each year, as it will be shipped by gas carrier to buyer countries.
Hyundai Heavy has set a goal of winning USD16.56 billion worth of orders this year, increasing 45 percent from the USD11.42 billion it won last year.
