PROVIDENCE — Greg Printz scored 2:11 into overtime to give Providence a 2-1 victory over Northeastern on Saturday night in front of 3,033 fans at Schneider Arena.

Printz flipped a loose puck past Northeastern goalie Cayden Primeau for the game-winner with Jason O'Neill and Vincent Desharnais earning the assists.

All the scoring in regulation took place in the second period with Northeastern (15-7-4, 11-5-2 Hockey East) striking first. Matt Filipe beat PC goalie Hayden Hawkey on a breakaway just 1:43 into the second period to give the Huskies a 1-0 lead.

Providence (17-8-3, 10-5-3) tied it at 8:05 of the period on Kasper Bjorkqvist's 11th goal of the season. A shot from the blue line deflected off a Northeastern player, off Bjorkqvist and past Primeau. Brian Pinho and Erik Foley were credited with the assists.

Hawkey made 18 saves for the win while Primeau had 27. PC outshot Northeastern, 29-19.
