The 30-year-old has just 18 months left on his contract at Bayern and it seems the Bundesliga giants aren’t willing to renew his contract.
Vidal has started 13 of Bayern’s league matches this season with Javi Martinez, James Rodriguez and Thomas Muller often occupying the midfield positions.
And he will face even more competition next season when Leon Goretzka joins for free in the summer.
United hold a long standing interest in the Chile international and Louis van Gaal came close to making a bid in his first summer in charge, only to pull out of a move due to concerns over the player’s fitness.
However, German publication Bild claim that Goretzka’s imminent arrival at the Allianz Arena means Vidal has been told to find a new club.
And the report goes on to suggest Sanchez could use international affiliation with Vidal to convince the midfielder of a move to Old Trafford.
Vidal recently congratulated Sanchez on his move to United, adding to speculation he could follow his compatriot to the Red Devils.

"Alexis has earned his chance to be at United, and I hope he goes on to win many titles with them."
Chelsea have also been linked with a move for Vidal and are reportedly in a strong position due to the strong relationship Antonio Conte has with the midfielder from their time at Juventus.
