Trenton, 1903: The White Horse Inn. Written on the back of the photo: “The White Horse Inn, a famous hostelry on the road from Trenton to Bordentown. Here guests were entertained before and during the Revolution. Subsequently it was a stopping place for Prince Murat, a royal roysterer, who resided with this relation, Joseph Bonaparte, ex King of Spain, while “Point Breeze” at Bordentown was the home of that deposed King. The White Horse is one of the oldest inns in central New Jersey” - Frances R. Lee
