An incident where a party of school van drivers ended in a death was reported from Sapugaskanda area.

The body of a man was found lying near the Relics Chamber of Heiyanthuduwa - Demiththa Yogashrama this morning(Jan.27).

The deceased was a 32-year-old individual whose identity was not confirmed at first.

However, two individuals who reported to the scene later had identified the individual.  

The deceased who had been intoxicated after a party had slept inside the three-wheeler he had arrived in.

The Chief Incumbent of Demiththa Yogashrama had complained to Sapugaskanda Police after finding the deceased lying near the Relics Chamber with signs of bleeding.

A magisterial inquiry is to be conducted with regard to the incident.
