Arts guild lines up Valentines-themed events

ASHEBORO — It’s time to put away the snowmen and bring out the hearts. The Randolph Arts Guild is feeling all warm and fuzzy inside with Valentine-themed art programs and events.

The arts guild is offering arts, crafts and music for all ages, not to mention the brand new handmade artwork from local artists now in the gift shop. The windows and shelving are adorned with unique one-of-a-kind items just for a sweetheart. The February Emerging Artists are even doing love ballads; then afterwards, stroll around downtown for dinner at one of the local restaurants.

The programs include:

* Let Me Call You Sweetheart Kindermusik Playdate, Monday, Feb. 5, at 6 p.m. with Ellane Campbell. Enrollment deadline: Thursday, Feb. 1.

* Mushy Valentines Cards with Jacquie Reininger, Saturday, Feb. 3, from 10 a.m.-noon.

* Soap Making for ages 13 and up, with Janice Brahms-Butler, Wednesday, Feb. 7, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Enrollment deadline: Wednesday, Jan. 31.
