MALTA -- A town man is accused of punching, kicking and choking a woman during a domestic incident on Thursday, Saratoga County sheriff's investigators said Saturday. He is also accused of violating an order of protection.

Jeffrey D. Hulett, 26, of Raylinsky Road, is charged with misdemeanor assault and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, and a felony of criminal contempt, for injuring the woman, who he knows, investigators said.

After arraignment, he was sent to the county jail in lieu of bail pending the next proceeding.
