That’s according to ESPN FC pundit Alejandro Moreno.

Aubameyang has been heavily linked with a move to the Gunners in recent weeks.

Arsenal are said to have tabled two bids for the Gabon international, 28, but Dortmund are currently refusing to sell their star man.

Aubameyang is open to joining the Gunners to link up with Arsene Wenger before the transfer window shuts on Wednesday evening.

And Moreno reckons Chelsea ace Batshuayi, who has struggled to get game time under Antonio Conte, could replace Aubameyang at Dortmund if he joins Arsenal.

When asked if Batshuayi could be the man to replace Aubameyang at Dortmund, Moreno said: “He may be. There are not that many options out there!

“It may just be that it’s what’s available, Batshuayi maybe isn’t happy at Chelsea”

“Not because the hole that Aubameyang leaves fits Batshuayi. He isn’t as good as Aubameyang, I’m sure of it.

“It may just be that it’s what’s available, Batshuayi maybe isn’t happy at Chelsea, maybe there’s a need for him to go somewhere else.

“It may be to open up space for the next player coming [to Chelsea].”

Arsenal are back in action on Tuesday night when the Gunners travel to Swansea in the Premier League.
