Danielle Harral has officially announced her candidacy for Clark County Circuit Clerk.
Harral issued the following statement:
“Dear Clark County Voters,
I am officially announcing my candidacy for the office of Circuit Clerk in the 2018 Republican Primary this May. I am an Arkadelphia native and the daughter of David and Martha Jo Smith, who is currently serving as your Circuit Clerk. While growing up in Clark County, I participated in cheerleading, gymnastics and attended Third Street Baptist church. Upon graduation from Arkadelphia High School in 2001, I attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where I met my husband, Jeffrey Harral.
In 2012, we made the decision to return to Clark County to raise our family. We have two children, Kohen, a second grader at Central Primary and Kallie Grace, who attends Davis-Baker Preschool at Henderson. I was blessed with being able to stay at home for the first few years of their lives but started working part-time in the Circuit Judges office shortly after they started school. During this time, it gave me a great appreciation for the Circuit Court and everyone involved. I began working for The Bennington Law Firm in Arkadelphia two years ago for attorney Madeline L. Bennington, who serves as the Prosecutor of Caddo Valley.
In my last two years I have worked daily with clients, attorneys, police officers, as well as Circuit and County Clerks all over Arkansas. I handle billing, operating and trust accounts, scheduling, deeds, and most importantly I work with Eflex, the online filing system used for Circuit and District Courts in Arkansas. One of my main objectives I will have, if elected, will be to work with the new Circuit Judge and State to finalize the steps needed to add Clark County to the list of the 15 other counties who participate in electronic filing. I am thankful for the current Circuit Clerk’s work to upgrade equipment and software and training for her and her staff, that put the office in the position to make efiling an actual possibility.
Clark County has been blessed with amazing elected county officials and staff who work hard everyday to do the best thing for our community. If elected, I plan to continue the hard work and dedication that is needed for this office to provide upstanding services to the citizens of Clark County. If you have questions or would like to speak with me, you can find my Facebook page @Harral4Circuitclerk or call me at (870) 403-2999. I look forward to meeting and getting to know even more of the wonderful citizens of Clark County in the upcoming months.
Thank you,
Danielle Harral”
