The Jets are in the midst of a seven-year playoff drought, including all three Mike Maccagnan's been calling the shots. The general manager received a vote of confidence from acting owner Christopher Johnson in the form of a two-year contract extension, but if New York doesn't take a noticeable step forward next year ... it seems unlikely he sticks around.
Lucky for Maccagnan, he'll have $100 million in cap space by the start of free agency. He's also armed with the sixth pick in the NFL Draft. The third time he's had that selection in four years.
