(MENAFN - Jordan News Agency) Amman, Jan. 26 (Petra)-- The Kingdom witnessed, in the late afternoon hours, a light snowfall, as different competent authorities have put its crews on maximum alert to grapple with emergencies that might result from such weather conditions.

Kerak, Irbid, Ma'an, Tafila and Ajloun governorates saw snowfall, as the Civil Defence Department (CDD) called on citizens to exercise caution and vigilance during these weather conditions.

There were no road closures due to the snowfall, according to the CDD.
