Andhra Pradesh and Telengana Governor E.S.L. Narashimhan on Saturday stressed the importance of developing positive thoughts so as to build a better society.

Releasing a book “Sri Vedanta Desikanin Vaishnava Nerigal” at Srimad Ahobila Mutt in Srirangam, he said positivism would play a vital role in shaping each and every individual and society.

Room should not be given for finding faults. It would cause a negative impact. Hence, the people should develop a positive attitude. It would ultimately lead to the formation of good society.

Mr. Narashimhan said he was happy to participate in the 750th birth anniversary of Sri Vedanta Desikan, who was the famous philosopher and one of the brilliant stalwarts of the country.

The book had an excellent information on age-old Sri Vaishnava doctrines and practices. Besides history, it contained important practices, including “saranagathi” and “samasrayanam.”

It would be useful for all people to understand the doctrines and practices. It would enrich the knowledge of believers. If the book was translated into English, it would benefit people across the country and the India diaspora.

Raghu N. Chari, Principal Commissioner, Customs, Chennai, who received the first copy of the book, said the messages of it had to be spread to Kanniyakumari in the south to north.
