Nazism was never close to liberalism as Nazism was to make one race superior with brute force. Adolf Hitler was bent on nativism (the belief that the interests of native-born people must be defended against encroachment by immigrants). He believed in hate-mongering and white supremacy. Our current president was elected on courting nativists and anti-immigrant constituency.

The National Defense Authorization Act has been around since 1944. It was stopped in 1949, restarted again in 1990 and President Bill Clinton reauthorized it in 1997 for the War on Drugs. In 2015 President Barack Obama made an executive order limiting use of military-style policing to aircraft, wheeled tactical vehicles and command units, battering rams and riot gear on conditions that such equipment was approved by federal government. On Aug. 28, Donald Trump rolled back Obama's executive order. So what light are you seeing?
